Presentling Durham’s Beaver Queen: Scarlett O’Beavah. Do what she tells you!

Things are heating up in the lodge. An anonymous package was given to an OB in the wee hours of the morning.
“Pst… Somebody found a recording on the cutting room floor from Bullseye’s late 80’s Rockabeaver period. At the time he was trying to resurrect his career after an unfruitful collaboration with Sinatra that made him seem like was (too) long in the tooth. The studio version of this number went to #13 in the Beaverrboard charts. Bullseye’s not going to do this number at the BQP but I thought someone needed to leak it to the press.”
Some of the contents of the package would be flagged if shared but the recording is for all to hear.

Before the Beaver Queen Pageant jumps into its sixth annual fabulous revelry and rivalry, we would like to take a moment to pay tribute to the wide range of critters that live in and along the Gulf Coast. So at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, just before the pageant, the reigning queen will lead this year’s court for an impromptu community jazz funeral to mourn the undetermined loss that will follow the oil spill, and celebrate the magic systems and critters that live in and along Gulf Coast. The first part of the parade is a slow and solemn procession to “Amazing Grace,” to mourn the many critters that will be affected by the ongoing spill.
After a symbolic coffin is placed under the shadow of an oak tree in the meadow, our impromptu band will break into “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Everyone is invited to parade and wave white rags to celebrate the magic the Gulf Coast brought to this world and our lives.
